The mood board was beautiful but the reality.... Well it's better than I think any of us could imagine.
When I saw the moodboard I had visions of edible flowers and the lovely team at @nurturedinnorfolk really hit the mark and brought my ideas to life, all set against a backdrop of crisp white fondant to really highlight the natural beauty.

Throwback to February 2024 when I delivered this cake that H & A designed to @templeof.fun
The family of the nearlyweds who were due to get married, reached out asking if I could help create a small wedding cake, for two weeks later! Up to this point they hadn't planned to have a cake, and with a little help from family and myself we made it happen.
This was completely designed by H&A and the fondant hearts were coloured taupe and burgundy to match their suits, crisp white fondant and gold fondant bow and matching gold pearls and star sprinkles to bring it to life.
A fun and lovely design completely personal to them and I think the cake matched the design perfectly.
The newlyweds were very impressed at how I'd brought their vision to life ❤️
Flavour - vanilla bean sponge filled with vanilla bean buttercream and raspberry conserve covered in white chocolate ganache underneath the fondant.

Happiest of birthdays to my first Brabban love, a cheeky little nod to all things 70's as that's when my favourite man was born.
First attempt at a cube cake and inside this retro themed cake is zesty lemon sponge, juicy lemon buttercream and raspberry conserve filling, smothered in white chocolate ganache and fondant.
I can share this as he's not on socials and won't be seeing this until we have dinner at @templeof.fun later

Today I had the pleasure of being a supplier at the beautiful Ringwood Hall, which was the venue we chose 11+ years ago to get married. Some amazing conversations with couples and plenty of samples eaten, emails will be going out tomorrow and emails from the last week will be caught up on as well.

Hi everyone, @googleuk has disabled my business profile, unsure how they decided I'm not eligible for a business profile when I have 30+ 5 star reviews and have been a business on Google since 2021.
I've submitted evidence to appeal the decision but it can take a few days to respond and unfortunately there is no way to speak or contact a human about this.
All orders and bookings are safe, I'm working through enquiries at the moment however lost a lot of admin time dealing with this so far today.
If you haven't had a reply to emails by tomorrow lunchtime, please give me a nudge.
My website, emails, insta and Facebook all are working fine it's only the Google business profile that's disappeared.

Stunning photos of Z & O's wedding cupcakes, I love when my couples say we want a woodland feel, send over a few ideas then I make some suggestions and they handover creative control and let me have fun, along with suggestions for how to dress the display table.
These were my signature chocolate sponge with a hint of mint and chocolate mint buttercream, edible moss and fondant decorations. Unpictured were 40 cookies in 3 flavours. Delivering to the beautiful @foxtailbarnsvenue where the staff couldn't have been more helpful.
Feedback 😍 - they were absolutely divine and looked stunning! Our guests were raving about the cupcakes they were so cleverly made

Earlier this week my little giant turned 4, he's Bluey obsessed and all I've heard, for what feels like forever, is I'd like a Bluey cake Mama, when asked what flavour he wanted he was very clear it was chocolate sponge with chocolate buttercream and raspberry but blue on the outside.
Bluey and family were not my usual fondant characters due to booking a rather last minute and very large wedding exhibition the day after his party however as I love sugar modelling, one day when I find time, i'll give them a go.
He was delighted and that smile when he saw it was one I won't forget. His friends all took home individually boxed cupcakes with Bluey themed toppers and I've had plenty of photos of them being eaten/enjoyed/worn 😃

It's been a 'fun' week here at JVB, a few of my lovely brides to be pointed out they'd not been receiving my emails and some had their emails bounced back

Most of my couples, until recently, had tried my cakes before booking me and booked me purely because they loved my flavours and like my easy going approach. I'm now being approached by new customers who have yet to try my bakes and in my opinion you should taste before you book, these taster boxes give you a chance to taste 6 of my flavours (the menu is much longer) but gives you a great feel for my bakes and style.

Yesterday I had the absolute honour of setting up these rich blue and white cupcakes at the stunning @kenwoodhallhotel, a dozen vegan rich decadent chocolate sponge with vanilla buttercream and a dozen vegan chocolate sponge made with glutenless ingredients and vanilla buttercream all topped with @bakingtimeclub sprinkles which they very kindly upgraded my order
I love making ornate wedding cupcakes, there is something calming about making them all as identical as possible
Colours are a mix of @fractalcolors, @colour.mill @sugarflaircoloursltd to achieve that rich dark blue and bright white, perfectly offset with the obsidian sprinkles from baking time club.
I hope to heading back to Kenwood Hall in the not too distant future, the team there were a delight to chat with while I was setting up and the room was just beautiful

*sings* I can make my own flowers..... After an in-person lesson with the amazing Liz from @sugarflowersbyliz, I have been admiring her flower making skills for a while, she just happens to live 20 mins away from me so we arranged for a one to one session
I got to fully sugar geek out and ask a million questions, I loved that she made everything so simple, no question was to silly and I felt like I was having a flower session with a friend, chatting and sharing information, I can't wait to go back and try other flowers with her
She even managed to snap a picture of me with my creation that I'm happy to share!
The pink one is from today's session and the peach/cream one is from my online tutorial I made a few weeks back

Today has been a play day in the kitchen, trying out my new @dinkydoodlecake airbrush this morning and finishing off this week's homework as I'm also studying a complete confidence in airbrushing course with Dawn.
Then spent the afternoon learning how to make an Avalanche rose from a course by @suzanneespercakeschool, very happy with this as a first attempt in this style.
